Conference phone - How it works
The main unit plugs into an analogue telephone line and the users dial out in much the same way as a normal telephone. Additional mic modules that plug into a conference telephone unit allow to extend the range to include up to around 20 participants.
In a point to point telephone conference, participants at two different places can speak to another. Whereas in a point to multipoint telephone conference, participants at more than two different places can speak to another.
Telephone hybrid
A telephone hybrid is the tool that connects a standard telephone line and your audio equipment, allowing you the ability to send and receive audio from a connected telephone.
